Summer has officially arrived here in Minnesota. This week Evan has enjoyed going to the pool, a cook-out with friends, mowing with his dad and tonight we are going to watch Matt play in his softball league. Evan continues to enjoy bouncing when possible and today at church he bounced on our laps for the entire service... we got an arm workout and he couldn't have been more happy! We are looking forward to the 4th of July and wonder what Evan will think of the fire trucks at the parade. We hope everyone is enjoying the summer as much as we are!

Happy Father's Day! Matt and I now understand how much love and sacrafice goes into parenting (and we have only been doing it for four months:) so we want to thank our parents but especially our fathers today for all they have and continue to do for us.
Matt is enjoying his first fathers day! As I write this Evan and he are laying on the couch and watching the US Open. I can imagine that this may become somewhat of a tradition.

This past week we enjoyed vacation with Grandma and Grandpa Block, Gretchen and her family in Palm Beach, FL. Evan was not to sure about the hot weather or the pool, but he did enjoy playing with his cousins and getting a lot of extra attention from everyone. It is awesome to see Eli, Andrew and Caleb. They have so much energy and have a lot to teach Evan. Next year Evan will hopefully be able to join in more of the fun.
In the past week Evan has started to bounce all day, he is starting to get a tooth and is now rolling over from his back to his stomach.

Now that Evan is four months old and started smiling, giggling, rolling over and sitting I wanted to started this blog to record the many milestones to come. We want to share our memories not only with our immediate family but our family and friends hours away.
Evan was born on 2/4/09. He weighed 8lbs 14oz and 21 1/2 inches. He continues to be a big boy at 18lbs 27 inches. Thanks goodness for his cousins handme-downs because he is already wearing 6-9 month old clothes!
His favorite activities include sucking his fingers, his nuk, his toys or his whole fist when possible. He also likes being outside in his stoller, kicking his legs and of course eating.
We hope you enjoy our little boy as much as we do.
